The SECDEF Employer Support Freedom Award is the highest U.S. government award honor to an employer for their support of National Guard and Reserve employees. The 2020 recipients were selected from 2,623 nominations received from Guardsmen and Reservists highlighting how their civilian employers went far beyond what the federal law requires to support them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Not only was Sanford Health recognized as a recipient of the Employer Support Freedom Award, they were also ranked\u00a0<strong>#42<\/strong>\u00a0by Military Times in their 2020 survey for \u201c<strong>Best for Vets: Employers<\/strong>\u201d and they were\u00a0<strong>designated a 2021 Military Friendly\u00ae Employer.<\/strong>\u00a0The ranking determination for the \u201cBest for Vets\u201d comes from a comprehensive survey of the country\u2019s best employers and organizations with military-connected employment programs, benefits and support efforts.
